TIME OVER DISTANCE OVER TIME & BIAS
Liz Roche Company are delighted to have been awarded funding by Culture Ireland's I Am Ireland Centenary Programme 2016 in order to bring Liz Roche's new work Time Over Distance Over Time to FORM Dance Project's Dance Bites Festival, Sydney and the Brisbane Powerhouse in June 2016. This follows the Dublin premiere of the work alongside Katherine O'Malley's new work Bias that will also be produced by Liz Roche Company. Dublin dates and venue to be announced in March.
EMBODIED DUBLIN DANCE FESTIVAL AN POST/GPO
Liz Roche has been invited to direct Embodied at the GPO, Dublin. Dublin Dance Festival successfully applied to the GPO’s Public Art Call for artworks which respond to the Irish Proclamation. DDF will now produce Embodied - a suite of six solos by female choreographers based in Ireland, in 2016. These new dance works will be presented at the GPO in April 2016 exactly 100 years after the original Proclamation was signed and on the same site.
STEP UP DANCE PROJECT: The Repertory Programme
In January at Dance Limerick participants will gain a concentrated glimpse into the creative processes of renowned choreographers Liz Roche (Ire) and Lea Anderson (UK) as they teach repertoire from Bastard Amber (2015) and Yippeee!!! (2006) respectively, culminating in a Performance Sharing of the two works. The programme takes place from 15-30 January. The performance sharing will take place on Saturday 30 January at 5pm. All welcome. Adm free.
