This year the focus is on physical and mental resilience in the life of a dancer.
We open up with a discussion on navigating failure versus perfectionism through the ups and downs of a career in dance. Dance psychotherapist Terry Hyde will chair this discussion with contributions from Rachel Ní Bhraonáin (dancer/choreographer, Ireland), Emma Jayne Park (Cultured Mongrel Dance Theatre, choreographer, Scotland), Liz Roche and Shelby Williams (Biscuit Ballerina soloist, Royal Ballet Flanders, US/Belgium)
Delighted Liz will be part of the Closing Plenary Roundtable — 'Co-Motion across borders - Future Moves' with Valerie Behan (Culture Ireland), Andrew Hurst (One Dance UK), Steven Brett (Arts – British Council), Nicola Curry (Maiden Voyage Dance), Mags Byrne (DU Dance) and Fearghus O'Conchuir (National Dance Company Wales).
Looking forward to Co-Motion: Dance & Borders Conference, Ireland’s first all-island dance conference presented by Dance Resource Base and Dance Ireland in association with Belfast International Arts Festival and Queen's University Belfast.
