This is a professional development partnership between Liz Roche Company, the Lir Academy, Dance Ireland and this year we are delighted to welcome the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance as project partners. Liz is speaking as part of this event by Dance Ireland on Nov 4th at DanceHouse from 2pm - 4pm

This year the focus is on physical and mental resilience in the life of a dancer.

We open up with a discussion on navigating failure versus perfectionism through the ups and downs of a career in dance. Dance psychotherapist Terry Hyde will chair this discussion with contributions from Rachel Ní Bhraonáin (dancer/choreographer, Ireland), Emma Jayne Park (Cultured Mongrel Dance Theatre, choreographer, Scotland), Liz Roche and Shelby Williams (Biscuit Ballerina soloist, Royal Ballet Flanders, US/Belgium)

Delighted Liz will be part of the Closing Plenary Roundtable — 'Co-Motion across borders - Future Moves' with Valerie Behan (Culture Ireland), Andrew Hurst (One Dance UK), Steven Brett (Arts – British Council), Nicola Curry (Maiden Voyage Dance), Mags Byrne (DU Dance) and Fearghus O'Conchuir (National Dance Company Wales).

Looking forward to Co-Motion: Dance & Borders Conference, Ireland’s first all-island dance conference presented by Dance Resource Base and Dance Ireland in association with Belfast International Arts Festival and Queen's University Belfast.
