SARAH CERNEAUX

Sarah was born in La Réunion Island and was raised in France where she started street dance at the age of 17. After working as a computer engineer for Alcatel Inc. she decided to redirect her career path to focus on dancing. She then joined the James Carles’ dance school in Toulouse.She passed her E.A.T. (Technical Aptitude Exam) in Contemporary and Jazz dance in 2003. After completing her degree she moved to Paris and kept learning with teachers such as Corinne Lanselle, Carolyn Carlson, Julyen Hamilton and Junior Almeida.Since then she has worked with Abou Lagraa Company (2006-2014), Christine Bastin (2008), David Drouard Company (2009-2011), Vincent Mantsoé Company (2009-2012) and Maryse Delente Company (2012-2013) amongst others. She moved to London in 2014 and started to work with Liz Roche Company in Dublin on 'Bastard Amber'. She joined Akram Khan Company in November 2014 and toured the production 'Kaash' for 2 years. Throughout 2017/18 she performed in Wrongheaded', Pilgrimage and I/Thou with Liz Roche Company. She teaches repertory for the Akram Khan Company and recently re-staged Bastard Amber on the graduating students of Lasalle College Singapore for Liz Roche Company. Sarah lives now in France where she dances for the Amala Dianor Company and continues to perform in Ireland with Liz Roche Company.

KEVIN COQUELARD

Kevin began dance and theatre in France. In 2008, he entered the Conservatoire de Paris where he danced in choreographies by Hofesh Schecter and Itzik Galili. Kévin made his Irish debut with John Scott in 2013, performing in widely including in New York, Paris and the Abbey Theatre. He has also performed for Philip Connaughton, Catherine Young, Liz Roche Company and Maria Nilsson Waller. He made his first solo, “Le somnanbule” which won the Public's Final Choice Award and the 2nd Prize of Dance in the Solo Tanz Festival in Stuttgart in 2018. Works with Liz Roche Company include Wrongheaded, Time Over Distance Over Time (Australian tour),  Bastard Amber (France), Pilgrimage, I/Thou, Demos, Naher... closer, nearer, sooner.

MIGUEL DO VALE

Miguel got his Acting degree at ESMAE, in his hometown Oporto (Portugal), and his Dance degree at CODARTS in Rotterdam. In The Netherlands he worked for several years with the dance theater company for young audiences MEEKERS, as well as with Project Sally, Panama Pictures and Random Collision, among others.

Nowadays he's based in Belgium where he worked with different Companies/Choreographers such as Ugo Dehaes, Randi De Vlieghe, Kabinet K, Sarah Bostoen.

In Ireland he danced in different productions of Junk Ensemble.

At the moment he's touring throughout Europe with Pink For Girls Blue For Boys from Tabea Martin (CH). A piece for young audiences about Gender. Works with Liz Roche Company include Totems, 12 Minute Dances, I/Thou.

JACK WEBB

Jack performs internationally most recently with Coisceim Dance Theatre and Company Chordelia, Hussein Chalayan and choreographer Damien Jalet on 'Gravity Fatigue' at Sadler's Wells, David Hughes Dance Scotland, the curve foundation dance company, Alan Greig Dance Theatre, Croiglan Integrated Dance, Jose Vidal Company, DanceTheatre Luxembourg, Via Negativa, among many others. In 2016 Jack was nominated for 'best dance performer' at the Sunday Herald Scottish culture awards. Works with Liz Roche Company include Wrongheaded, I/Thou, Demos.

AILISH MAHER

Ailish graduated with a First-Class Honours Degree in Contemporary Dance Performance from The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in 2014. Since graduating she has worked with Liz Roche Company, Raimund Hoghe, Michael Keegan Dolan, Lea Anderson, Nathan Johnston, Feet Off the Ground and plan B creative. She was a founding member of Humanah Productions, which is a London/Sweden based collective of dance, film, and music artists. Ailish has also taught workshops and classes at Nova Academy (Sweden) and Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. Works with Liz Roche Company include 12 Minute Dances, I/Thou, Demos.

GLORIA ROS ABELLANA

Graduated in classical dance at Institut del Teatre in Barcelona, she continued her studies at Cannes Jeune Ballet (France). She joined Introdans Ensemble voor de Jeugd (NL), with whom she performed internationally in pieces by Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Inbal Pinto,... As a freelance, she has worked with Arno Schuitemaker and Arthur Rosenfeld, among others. Glòria was awarded 1st prize in Shortcuts - Experimental Dance Film Festival (Austria). She is part of the Liz Roche Company, Ireland dancing in Totems, I/Thou and Demos. She develops her own instant composition work in collaboration with Denitsa Dikova. Her shows and videodance project have been presented in Spain, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Australia.

LINDA BUCKLEY

Linda is an Irish composer/performer based in Glasgow who has written extensively for orchestra (RTE National Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra), and has a particular interest in merging her classical training with the worlds of post punk, folk and ambient electronica. Her work has been described as “fantastically brutal,

reminiscent of the glitch music of acts such as Autechre” (Liam Cagney, Composing the Island) and “engaging with an area of experience that new music is generally shy of, which, simplified and reduced to a single word, I’d call ecstasy” (Bob Gilmore, Journal of

Music). Music for theatre includes work by Enda Walsh (Bedbound) and flm by Pat Collins (Living in a Coded Land) and Tadhg O’Sullivan (Solas Céad Bliain). Awards include a Fulbright scholarship to New York University and the Frankfurt Visual Music Award 2011 (Silk Chroma). Recent and upcoming collaborations include work with Mmoths, arrangements from This Mortal Coil, remixes for Augustus and John, new music with Laura Sheeran (Kuvn), as well as performances by Icebreaker, Iarla O’Lionaird, Joby Burgess, Ensemble Mise-En and Crash Ensemble. Linda also lectures in Composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

JOE VANEK

Joe has been designing for most of the major theatre, opera and dance companies in Ireland since 1984. He was Director of Design at the Abbey Theatre from 1995-97, and Design Associate for the Wexford Festival Opera from 2006-08. His work is closely associated with the plays of Brien Friel, including Dancing at Lughansa, Wonderful Tennessee, Molly Sweeney and Performances. Designs for Liz Roche Company include I/Thou 2018, Pligrimage 2018, 12 Minute Dances 2017 - Interloper 2014 - Bread and Circus 2008 - I Can’t Make It Alone 2007 and Resuscitate 2004.

He has also designed new plays by many of Ireland’s leading writers including John Banville, Sebastian Barry, Marina Carr, Hugo Hamilton, Tom Kilroy, Hugh Leonard, Tom MacIntyre, Frank McGuinness, Tom Murphy and Stewart Parker.


Recent designs include Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily we Roll Along at the Lir and Aida for Irish National Opera at the Bord Gais Theatre Dublin.

STEPHEN DODD

Stephen is based in Dublin and trained at The Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College. Recent lighting designs include: For Liz Roche Company; Wrongheaded (Project Arts Centre Dublin Dance Festival 2018) United Fall / Emma Martin: Girl Song (Dublin Theatre Festival 2017); Dancehall (Dublin Theatre Festival 2015). For Dead Centre: Hamnet (The Peacock Theatre 2017); Chekhov’s First Play (Dublin Theatre Festival 2015); LIPPY (The Young Vic 2015). For Maria Nilsson Waller: Merrygoround (Dublin Dance Festival 2017); For Brokentalkers: The Circus Animal’s Desertion (Dublin Theatre Festival 2016).

ANNE-LAURE DOGOT

Anne-Laure is a professional dancer and dance teacher from Belgium, started dancing at the age of five at Danses & Cie in Tournai (Belgium). From 2006 to 2009, Anne-Laure followed a three year professional dance education at S.E.A.D, Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (Austria) . Immediately after, she became a member of the company’s school, Bodhi Project, and toured internationally. Since then, she has worked or is currently working as a dancer and performer with choreographers such as Liz Roche Company (IE), Kyung-a Ryu (BE/Corée), La Monnaie Opéra (BE), Bud Blumenthal/Cie Hybrid (BE/USA), La Verita Dance Company (BE/GR), Philine Janssens (BE), Luc Petit Création/Les Nocturnales asbl (BE), ROSAS/Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker (BE) as an intern, Renan Martins (P/BR), among others. As of 2010, Anne-Laure has been teaching dance classes and workshops in some of the main schools and dance centers in Belgium and abroad such as IPES (Tourna) in the high school dance program or at P.A.R.T.S Summer School.

HENRY MONTES

Henry is a freelance dance maker, performer and teacher. He has performed for many independent choreographers and companies in New York and Europe including Susanne Linke, Reinhild Hoffmann, Keely Garfield, Kirstie Simson, KJ Holmes, Gaby Agis, Rosemary Butcher, Joan Davis and Jonathan Burrows. Henry performed with Siobhan Davies Dance from 1998- 2009.. He presently performs with Liz Roche Company, Lizzi Kew Ross (UK) and Andreja Rauch (Slovenia). He continues to study Yoga, the Alexander Technique and Argentine tango.

FINOLA CRONIN

Finola danced in Germany with Vivienne Newport in TAT Frankfurt, and with Pina Bausch in Wuppertal, and most recently with Raimund Hoghe in Düsseldorf.  She teaches in the School of English, Drama, and Film at University College Dublin.

Finola has performed with Liz Roche Company in Naher... closer, nearer, sooner 2018/2019 at the Goethe-Institut Irland.
